In the process of writing a dissertation, be prepared for the fact that there will be many complaints about the content and appearance, especially with regard to the requirements for the design of the dissertation.
Try to formulate the name shortly. Do not use vague expressions like “Questions …”, “Research …”. The name should show that the work is completed and showed certain results. If the question you studied is quite extensive, you can use the subtitle for clarification. It should be a few words (no more than six), which will give specificity to the topic.
The same principles you should use in the text of the study. Use as little common words as possible, vague wording. This is not an essay, it is a scientific work, in which you must show yourself to be a confident scientist who knows his business.
How to arrange a dissertation?
In addition to the content, a great attention of the commission is attracted by the appearance of the dissertation.
The main requirements are similar to the requirements for the design of a diploma or any other scientific work.
The dissertation should be printed on A4 paper. Large figures or tables can be printed on A3 paper.
The interval between the lines is one and a half.
Font – Times New Roman, size 14. Do not make anything bold. The text throughout the dissertation should be evenly spaced with the same spacing between lines.
Total amount of work: 100-150 pages, for the humanities it is allowed more. Applications are not included in the total.
The fields on the page are set as follows: 2 cm above, 2 cm below, 3 cm on the left and 1 cm on the right.
If suddenly you need to correct errors in the text, this can be done by painting the area with a corrector, but no more than twice on the page. Although it is better to reprint it.
All parts of the dissertation are numbered. The main part is divided into structural parts: section, subsection, etc.
Large sections, such as content, introduction, section, etc., are written in capital letters. The subject elements (subsections, subparagraphs) are written as in the sentence: the first letter is large, the rest are lowercase.
Between the title of a large section and the text is left double line spacing.
